The Roman baths in Chaves are a rare site in the entire Roman Empire and unique in the Iberian Peninsula.
A building of “monumental dimensions” that collapsed after an earthquake registered at the end of the 4th century and that was “frozen in time” until it was discovered about 17 centuries later.
